We process personal information to enable us to: provide a voluntary service for the benefit of the national public and to further our Charitable Purposes (see summary below); administer membership records; to fund-raise and promote the interests of the charity; manage our employees and volunteers; maintain our own accounts and records.

conservation and improvement of Scotland’s natural environment and associated cultural

(c) to advance the education, understanding and responsible awareness of the natural
environment and associated cultural heritage as part of the pursuit of environmental

Who is collecting it and how is it collected?
Any member of the LINK staff team may collect your personal data during the course of their work and via interactions with members, supporters, complainants, enquirers, advisers and representatives of other organisations.
If we wish to retain your personal data we will ask for your consent* to enter this in our online outlook database which is then accessible to all LINK employees. Our Database is securely stored on the cloud using Office 365 with personalised log in and password protection for each member of staff. We may also on occasion, process your information via MailChimp (or other similar industry standard bulk email system) in order to organise contacts in to areas of common interest, see using your information below.
LINK Supporters
If you are a supporter of LINK and are known to us through signing up to receive, or participate in a campaign, LINK will record your name, email address, and postcode (for the purpose of sending you geographically relevant information). This information will be processed via MailChimp (or other similar industry standard bulk email system) in order to maintain your subscription on our mailing list. For those who are supporters only your information will not be entered in to our online outlook database. Your information will not be used for any other purpose and is not shared with any external organisations. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list or update your information whenever you wish by clicking an unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by emailing information@scotlink.org
